Alone time on Risa
Postby Seiben » Sat Sep 28, 2013 11:28 pm
Risa was a welcome change for all of the forest, jungles, and urban centres and most especially the scores of Tzenkethi that Madison and the crew of the Aquarius have had to find on a constant basis. It was another warm perfect day; Risa’s weather regulators were certainly doing their job today.
Madison was greatly enjoying her time in Risa. It had been far too long since she last visited, during a spring break with her girlfriends in her final year of Academy. It was a fun two weeks with the girls. It was too bad she didn’t remember half the trip on account of being completely plastered half the time. She had holo pics, but she couldn’t remember ever doing stuff like that.
Strolling around the shops in the city near her hotel, Madison wanted to get a nice wedding gift for Ens. James and his fiancée Dakota. Trouble was, she knew little of the ensign and even less of his husband to be, so she was looking for generic stuff that she might think they’d like. With Janelle retired to her suite to rest her foot, Madison strolled the shops looking at the various items the venders had for sale.
Regardless of how little she knew her fellow crewmate, she was nonetheless happy they were going to get married. It always was a happy occasion, weddings were. Stumbling into a quaint looking glassware shop, she found a set of old looking glass sculptures and paid for them. With that done, she made her way back to her hotel suite.
Heading back to the city, she wished she’d have more time to get to know her crewmates, and hoped they’d like it. Madison was still in her early twenties and marriage was still far off in her mind, but in times like these that made her think of marriage and the idea of settling down and raising a family. She thought of her relationship with Janelle.
They’ve only started to get close like this recently; that one drunken night she and Janelle slept together in Madison’s bed. The events leading up to them sleeping together was still a foggy mystery. Madison and Janelle were way too drunk that night to remember anything. But yet, even after they sobered up, their relationship still continued to blossom.
It wasn’t the first relationship Madison had with another woman, having had several starting in high school right up to her third year in Academy. Madison liked the feminine bonds they shared. Growing up in a liberal family, and upbringing, Madison didn’t care about the gender of her partner, so long as they made her feel happy and loved.
It wasn’t something people expected given her relationship as a man-eater. Her good looks and intelligence made her a popular choice with the guys (and still does), but Madison would bore quickly and move on which contributed to this reputation. She hoped that perhaps a happy outcome like James and Dakota would come her way too, but as she entered her suite, she figured she’d let things happen as they unfold and see what happens from there.
Settling into her suite, Madison hoped the happy couple would like her wedding gift for them. Madison considered herself reasonably good in choosing gifts for people. Though it did seem a bit too generic. Oh well, she thought to herself. Placing the glassware in a safe place, she sat down on a lounge chair and planned on what to do for the rest of her day.
