A T T E N T I O N on deck

So the plan is simple, continuous play based on NPC's to attempt the story's progression.

DF Phoenix10/05/2020
= /\ = CENG, CSCI, NPC-AMO, NPC-SEC had been on the surface and had an adventure ( to be a log at this point posted on the baords ) they've returned and checked through medical. Now a few hours later they are back in warp.
Its a calm start of alpha shift with not much interference from out of norm duty tasks.

::Jellico was biting her lower lip slightly as she stared into the astrometrics holographic display. The slight blue glow washed over her from the close proximity as she peered into the schematics.::
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
::strolls into astrometrics lab, two mugs of coffee in his hands as he looks around at the equipment::
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
::Vigo was on walking out of the ready room ending his log.:: ...so we will see whats to come as the answer will remain unknown. End log. ::He gathers a cuff and tugs it down, adjusting his uniform.
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
::She looks over her shoulder.:: Hey Tony...
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
:: leans back at his console :: Well let's hope for a little less excitement
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
::He looked over as a few of the other officers were still in shift rotation. Knowing that most of the crew hand been due this brief interjection of solace steadiness, there was no need to press on formalities of punctuation.:: Mr McGuiness.......
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
::nods to @[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico :: Brought you some coffee, since you don’t seem to be taking the Capt’s orders of R’R too seriously.
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
::He smirked ever so slightly, some officers I suppose were just always at the ready, he thought.::
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
Sorry Captain
::Tom grinned sheepishly::
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
Its still strange that after these hundred years earth is still producing the same plant-based drink that seems to have some people hooked. I mean I'm almost tempted to give it up because its totally archaic.
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
No need Tom, I know that its in the core. ::He tapped his center chest.:: That drive to move like this ship, in constant motion.
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
@[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico never give up old habits, especially when they can keep you up. ::puts the mug down and looks over the screen:: You know, you can just look out a window to stargaze.
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
:: nods:: this ship seems to find her way to interesting corners no matter what we do
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
Thank you for the drink though. ::She steps back a few paces and rotates the image with her hand.:: It is more that gazing Tony. This star cluster on long range scanners picked up the most intense proto-star dispersed nebula field I have ever seen. Its quad-billions of separate identifiable elements and energy sources.
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
This is a true fact Mr McGuiness. ::He walked towards his station:: How are you fairing these past days?
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
:: sighs:: it's been... interesting sir. I've been an Ops officer before but this ship - she's a lot to manage - kinda why I'm hoping nobody does anyone to mess with the EPS or comm networks for a little while
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
::She slowly spins it once more:: Its simply incredible and unique. Ive requested that we at least get closer to it for as much data to be collected. I think the captain agreed with me, I hope at lease, but we should be within actual eye-visual range in a couple hours.
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
::nods as he looks it over:: I do see the beauty of it. I’m guessing you might want a shuttle to go check it out?
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
Well we wont have much else to do. Jellico has requested we venture closer to her nebula, and we should be there in a couple of hours. I heard its something of a spectacle to see.
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
:: Tom brings up a preview of the nebula on his console:: it does look fantastic
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
::She chuckles.:: Oh no I believe this star nursery is to compact to have a shuttle enter. Its almost like a mix of an emission nebula, Omarion and a Chamra Vortex. It's highly unlikey a shuttle could even make it through the outer region.
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
::nods slowly:: Well now, this sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’ll leave you to the preparations then shall I? ::smiles slightly::
DF Phoenix10/05/2020
Lets be prepared for passive high-resolution series scans and multiphasic scans in contagnit.
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
::Shrugs:: Nothing else to prep for other than making sure the energy dosent melt the ship, or like multiphas all of us into non coporreal beings or our anitmatter field converts the nebula into an exploding black hole and tear us apart for decades .....
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
::taps the console:: Aye sir. I've got the power transfers set up and astrometrics and stellar dynamics know when to start their scans
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
Umm, it sounds like I have a fair bit of work to do then... ::gives her a ‘you’re rambling’ look:: Wouldn’t want a melting shop or black holes now would we?
[CSCI] Lt Elle Jellico10/05/2020
::Her mind trails off.....:: Yeah we wouldnt want that... no no no we dont. ::She chuckles.::
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
::grins and sips his coffee, smacking his lips appreciatively:: Alright, well better get to it. If you think of any other ways this thing can blow is up let me know so I can figure out how to stop it alright? ::starts to head towards the doors::
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
::overhears Tony from his feed to astrometrics:: Wait, I thought we had to wait a week before melting the ship
[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez10/05/2020
@[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness + Tom, if you plan to melt the ship at least submit the paperwork to the CO first. I don’t like surprises now.
[LT - OPS] Tom McGuiness10/05/2020
@[CENG] Lt Comm Tony Valdez Tony I think any paperwork I file would end up behind the folks in Science
I just make the power move - I don't control what you crazy people do with it
