Mission Notes
Three Rigelian traders are the first cargo crews to dock at Starbase Capricorn, after several Starfleet ships arrive as well, including the U.S.S. Aquarius, which has put the operations and engineering departments behind on time and supplies-- and it's just the first weeks on the job!
Upon their arrival at the Starbase, MCPO Luca notes that several of the crew of the freighter are ill with what looks like weak theta radiation poisoning, and the ship itself has strange dead zones on passive scans.
While Medical works to assist the sickened crew, Engineering and Operations are called upon to sweep the ship.

MCPO Vladislav Luca Airlock 6B
A few of the Rigelians coughed and steadied themselves on the nearby bulkhead. Vladislav knew the look of men carrying contraband when he saw them, but even so, he felt a little bad for the poor blokes.
The ship that was docked at the airlock was pretty dinged-up, maybe even a little too dinged-up for how old it was. So either they had been intentionally looking for trouble and found it, and gotten a few phasers in the face for it, or they had purposefully made it look more derelict than it really was.
He placed a call to the doctor, Delaney, to get a team or herself down to the airlock, then looked at his scans again. He wouldn't mind both engineers and his supervisor on the case as well, so he put in a message to their teams as well, to come evaluate the ship.

Tegau Delaney Airlock 6B
Tegau hurried through the corridors, smiling to herself. It wasn't that a potential outbreak made her happy, it was that these first few weeks were even more exciting than she had imagined! She'd nearly gotten her office put together, between physicals and medical complaints and other duties, and she'd had a chance to get to know the names of many of the crew.
She straightened, making sure she looked appropriately serious- patients of course always thought you were reacting to them, never mind that of course you had a life too, and it was never good to make them think you might be laughing at them or taking joy in their ills. She'd been through that once early in her training, and the lesson had stuck. She still remembered the shrill shrieking of Mrs Hoplly's voice as she carried on about young doctors today and Starfleet training not being what it used to be.
Stepping through into the airlock, and her serious expression became a frown of concern automatically. The poor Rigelians looked awful. She fumbled in her pocket and took out her medical tricorder, scanning them. Glancing at the MCPO who had called her- Luca was his name, that was it- she forced a flash of a smile through her concern.
"Thanks for calling me, Luca. These men need to get to SickBay right away."
She looked at the Rigelians, looking for who might be in charge. "Mind telling me the source of the theta radiation?"

Greta Seiben Operations - Control Centre
From the confines of the station`s bridge or control centre or whatever it was called, Greta oversaw the arrival of the Rigelian cargo ship. On the comms, they sounded bad. The good doctor will definitely have a lot on their hands with these lot, she thought to herself as she helped organise a security detail to secure the cargo ship, while engineering began to move in an examine the ship. Greta already had her hands full as it was, helping secure parts and supplies from the other ships that came in with the Aquarius requiring the most work. It was pleasant working with Aquarius' Australian operations officer Madison, who seemed sweet enough but they looked to have been through the grinder and back. And so soon after the ship was refitted on Vulcan too. Luca seemed to have the situation with the Rigelians at hand, but kept a close ear on the comms in case he needed anything, mentally going over Aquarius' ever growing list of supplies and parts grew.

Ensign Alicia Skye Engineering - Airlock 6B
Taking her time with simple diagnostics, Alicia were suddenly called upon to assist in repair work on a newly docked ship, "This is Ensign Alicia, I'm on my way", heading for the turbolift to get to the docking area, Airlock 6B to be exact..
As Alicia came out of the turbolift in the vicinity of Airlock 6B, she saw Delaney rushing the Rigelians to Sickbay, passing her, "If you need an extra pair of hands, you can ask Alice.." she said walking over to the Rigelian ship..
Looking the Cargo ship over, she turned to Delaney, "Anything I should look out for??" Alicia asked before beginning her examination of the ships interior..

MCPO Vladislav Luca Airlock 6B
[Damn, work is killer. Let's get some posts going for the anniversary!]
"They're all yours." He answered without breaking a very neutral expression. "Though," he added, under his breath, "make sure someone keeps an eye on them when they're back on their feet. I think they're gonna have some explaining to do."
The security detail sent by Greta seemed to arrive just in time, and he nodded to them, tipping his head towards the Rigelians to say "go with the doctor and her patients."
Once the doctor and her patients went to Sickbay, Luca saw Skye arrive on the scene. "Something in this ship seems to be putting out a lot of radiation. Maybe it's really a malfunction. Maybe it's actually something... less normal." He rolled his eyes, but still looked fairly serious. "Contraband?" he suggested to Skye.

Airlock 6B
One of the Rigelians -- the one vomiting the least -- looked up at Delaney. "Not a clue. Probably a... broken..." Coughing ensued, though whether it was from the radiation or a poorly-disguised attempt to cover up wrong-doing was anyone's guess.

Post by Tav on Sept 12, 2018 4:43:50 GMT
Tav stepped onto the Starbase straightened his uniform top and looked around for the command offices, after his orders had been approved by the captain of the Ares Tav was told it could be up to a year before he would see the ship. Extensive refit Captain Jones had said, Tav thought up to a year are they tearing it down to the keel and starting again...

After the operations officer on duty recorded Ensign Qeriv's appearance on the station and assigned him his quarters, Luca commed the new Andorian to join the medical officers in Sickbay to keep an eye on their Rigellian guests.
He turned to Ensign Skye, and looked over the mass of engineering equipment on hand. "Ready to start scanning?" he asked.

Admiral Sarvek Command Level
The admiral looked out to see the new lieutenant come aboard the command deck and nodded, stepping out of her office.
"Mister Nichols, I presume?" she half-asked, half-stated.

Tav seeing the admiral straightens his posture, "Yes Admiral Tavian Nichols reporting as ordered" Tav stands straight as he looks at the Admiral, thinking to himself hmmm a vulcan this should be a cold command for a year, his last station had a vulcan first officer never cracked a smile. Not to mention never showing any emotion just that scowl.Watching the Admiral Tav stays at attention his face neutral, waiting for the Admiral to say something.

Walking around the infirmary quarantine area the sense of death filter through his neuro net senses. The victims chances of survival with the fever could be short and painful. Seeing a nurse tending to an inflicted person, 'Nurse, how did the fever get on the station?
